PHOENIX – ⁤Jackie Chan’s latest action film,”The Shadow’s Edge,” debuted with a limited U.S.⁤ theatrical release on August 22, 2025, ‌but currently isn’t available to stream, rent, or purchase‌ on major platforms.Despite the limited availability, the⁤ film is ​garnering positive attention from both critics and audiences.

“The Shadow’s Edge” follows retired surveillance expert Wong ​Tak-Chung (Chan) as he’s pulled back into action by the Macaupolice to stop a group of thieves who have bypassed the city’s advanced “Sky Eye” AI surveillance system. The film boasts a runtime of 2 hours and 21 minutes.

Currently, “The Shadow’s Edge” holds an 80% rating from critics and a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Reviews highlight the film’s action sequences and Chan’s performance, with many praising it as a ⁤welcome return ⁢for Chinese action cinema.
