BREAKING NEWS: ISRAELI FORCES LAUNCH ATTACKS IN LEBANON AND GAZA
Israeli forces have conducted attacks in southern Lebanon, targeting the areas of Deir kifa and Shuhur in Sur, following a threat to strike locations in four southern Lebanese towns. Lebanese authorities have yet to release a statement regarding casualties.
These attacks follow a November 5th strike on the Ayn al-Hilva Palestinian Refugee Camp in Sidon, Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of 13 people and numerous injuries.
On November 6th, the Israeli army carried out air strikes on five different towns in southern Lebanon, preceded by a similar declaration of intent.
The escalation occurs despite a ceasefire agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel in November 2024. Reports indicate over 4,500 ceasefire violations by Israel sence the agreement, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries.
Israel continues to occupy five hills captured in Lebanon and maintains a presence in areas held for decades.
The current conflict stems from an initial Israeli attack against Lebanon in October 2023, which escalated into a large-scale war by September 2024. The war has resulted in over 4,000 deaths and approximately 17,000 injuries.
