Hamilton Steak House Staff ‘Shaken’ After Armed Robbery⁣ Disrupts Father’s Day

A brazen armed ​robbery at a Hamilton‌ steak house Sunday morning has left staff members traumatized and police searching for two suspects. The incident occurred at Smith &⁢ McKenzie Steak House in Chartwell around⁣ 11:20 a.m., disrupting Father’s Day celebrations‍ for many.

The robbery unfolded ⁤when two individuals, one brandishing a firearm, allegedly entered the restaurant and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in a vehicle.​ While ‌no one was physically injured, the event deeply affected the restaurant’s ‍team, ⁢occurring‍ on a day meant for family‍ and celebration. Police responded swiftly, utilizing details from the​ public to identify the vehicle and ‍deploying the Eagle helicopter to assist in the ⁣search.

According to a police ⁣spokesperson, investigators ‍were able to locate the vehicle ⁢in the Chartwell area shortly after the robbery. Armed officers were deployed to the area, and cordons⁣ were established⁤ as the search continues.

Smith & McKenzie Steak house released a statement acknowledging the traumatic ⁤experience and praising their staff’s resilience. “Our⁢ staff are understandably shaken and upset, but⁣ we are so proud of their unbelievable strength and composure in such a frightening situation. We truly couldn’t ask ‌for a better team,” the statement read.
