SUWON, SOUTH KOREA – October 13, 2025 – Gyeonggi Province is poised to compete for an unprecedented fourth consecutive championship title at the National Sports Festival, beginning October 17th. Lee Won-seong, head of the Gyeonggi Province team, affirmed the province’s determination to demonstrate its “athletic power” adn secure another victory.
This year’s competition carries meaningful weight for Gyeonggi-do, representing not only a pursuit of athletic excellence but also an possibility to showcase the province’s unity and strength through sports. A win would solidify Gyeonggi-do’s dominance in the National sports Festival, a multi-sport event fostering national cohesion and regional pride. The gyeonggi-do team will formally launch their campaign with a ‘Winning Pledge Resolution Rally’ immediately following the opening ceremony.
