Galena‘s Concert Marked by Son’s On-Stage Recovery After Rehearsal‍ Accident

Sofia, Bulgaria – Pop-folk​ singer Galena delivered her first solo concert-performance, “Euphoria,” at Arena 8888 in Sofia yesterday evening, an event overshadowed by a pre-show accident involving her⁤ eight-year-old son, Alexander. Hours before the performance, Alexander fell off the stage‌ during rehearsal, breaking a front tooth, according to bTV reports.

“Like ‌any mother, I was shocked ​and I was ready ⁤to cancel the concert,” Galena told the audience. Despite the injury, ⁤Alexander bravely joined his mother on stage for a duet of ⁢”Havana Tropicana,” fulfilling a dream of performing before ⁣a crowd of thousands.

The concert, six months in the making, featured a‌ 40-person dance ensemble, elaborate staging, and direction by⁣ rafi Bohosyan.‍ It marks the first independent ‌performance by a pop-folk artist in Bulgaria’s​ largest hall, with bTV ⁣serving as the media partner.

“I have been preparing the concert for more than six‍ months.​ I have a 40-person ‌ballet,set design,sets. Tonight is my triumph,” Galena stated to bTV prior to the show.

The audience included prominent figures from Bulgarian show business, including Esil Duran, DARA, Preslava, Gloria,​ and ‌Atanas Kolev. Azis, Preslava, Tsvetelina Yaneva, Sofi Marinova, Malina, Tony Storaro, ⁤and Boris Dali also made ‌special appearances.

The concert-performance was recorded for broadcast ‍as part of bTV’s New year’s programming. Galena described euphoria as her consistent⁢ state of mind, regardless of audience ​size.

Galena and her partner, businessman Galin anastasov, are also parents ‍to Stefan, born in 2009.

Social media commentary preceding and following the concert noted stylistic and costume‍ similarities ‍to performances by ‍Jennifer Lopez, sparking debate. Regardless, attendees largely viewed the show as⁢ a large-scale spectacle‍ meeting international standards.
