Kansas City-area families have a free opportunity to gain crucial safety skills this fall, with the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) offering a family self-defense class on November 22nd. The course aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and techniques to protect themselves and their loved ones.
As communities nationwide prioritize personal safety, accessible self-defense training becomes increasingly vital. This KCPD initiative directly addresses that need, providing practical tools for families to build confidence and preparedness. The class is particularly relevant given ongoing concerns about personal security and situational awareness.
KCPD’s website states the class is designed to “Empower your whole family with the tools to stay safe and confident.” The session will be held Saturday, November 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Regional Police Training Academy, located at 6885 NE Pleasant Valley Rd, Kansas city, Missouri.
Interested participants can register by calling 816-413-3500 or emailing KCPDRegionalAcademy@kcpd.org. Space is highly likely limited, so early registration is encouraged.
