FHP Health Center to Offer Free Flu Shots at Oct. 25 Clinic
Tamuning,Guam - FHP health Center will host a free flu clinic on October 25th at the FHP Annex,located across from the ITC building,offering a convenient possibility for residents to protect themselves against the upcoming flu season. The clinic will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., welcoming walk-ins and those with pre-scheduled nurse visit appointments.
The annual flu shot is recommended for everyone six months and older as the primary way to prevent serious influenza complications. FHP Health Center emphasizes the importance of proactive public health measures, especially as the flu season approaches. “If you haven’t received your flu shot yet, now is the time,” saeid Rose Grino, R.N., FHP Health Center health care deliver administrator.”Getting the shot is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and your family during flu season.”
Flu shots will be provided at no cost to individuals covered by TakeCare, medicaid, Medicare, Government of Guam Self Insurance, NetCare, StayWell, and Tricare. For those without insurance,self-pay options are available for $40 for the regular dose and $95 for the high-dose vaccine recommended for adults aged 65 and older.
