Liepāja‘s Fontaine Palace Announces Packed Autumn Concert Series: “Irliepāja“
Liepāja’s Fontaine Palace, one of the largest adn most active rock clubs in the Baltics, is set to deliver a diverse and energetic autumn concert series dubbed “irliepāja.” The club, a key component of Liepāja’s cultural landscape, promises a packed schedule featuring both international and Latvian artists, according to a statement from Fontaine Palace.
The autumn lineup kicks off this week with a Texas-based rock band performing original songs and classic rock covers on October 17th. the following day, October 18th, will host a heavy metal event featuring dehydrated go, never, and trencheard.
October continues with a Gamma Award-nominated performance by Ghettozloba on October 24th. On October 26th, Finnish duo Knucklebone Oscar & Niko Votkin will bring their “authentic rock and roll program” honed from global touring to the fontaine Palace stage.
Halloween week will transform the club into a multi-event experience. October 30th will showcase emerging talent from the Liepaja Pop RAP School. October 31st will see the club become a “portal to another dimension” with the electronic music event “Ghosts in the Machine,” featuring artists 7synths, Monday in Space, and Val Ray, alongside smoke, lasers, projections, and attractions. the darker sounds of Eremos and A Xoloth will follow on November 1st, delivering post-metal and doom soundscapes.
November brings a string of highly anticipated performances. Legendary Latvian band Livs will return to Liepāja on November 7th, supported by the Latvian heavy metal group Spirit Cellar. Heavy music fans can look forward to Yomi, Ash-Shur, and protocol F40.1 on November 8th, representing a range of metal subgenres from Japanese folk metal to Old-School Death metal with Middle Eastern influences.
Latvian metal history will be revisited on November 14th with performances by Procession and huskvarn, both returning with new material. concluding the announced series on November 15th is Orphan waves,a Helsinki-based experimental option rock trio promising a “nuanced and atmospheric adventure.”
While the autumn schedule leans towards heavier sounds, organizers assure audiences that the program will continue to diversify as the winter season approaches, with artists like bypass, iron wolf, indygo, and gapojeri hinting at what’s to come.
