DRC Stuns Nigeria,⁣ Advances to world Cup⁤ qualifying Playoff

KINSHASA, DRC – November 16, 2025 – The Democratic Republic of‌ Congo (DRC)⁢ defeated⁣ Nigeria in⁤ a dramatic penalty‍ shootout following a⁤ 1-1 draw after extra ⁢time, securing their place ⁣in the intercontinental tournament and moving within striking distance of ⁣a second-ever FIFA World Cup berth.The victory marks⁢ a historic moment for‌ Congolese football, rekindling hopes ‌of returning‌ to the world Cup stage for the first time since 1974.
