Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison sentance has been extended, delaying his potential release as he awaits a ruling on alleged rule violations, People magazine reported Friday. Combs began serving a four-year sentence in September 2024 after being convicted on federal sex trafficking charges. The extension comes amid reports of infractions during his incarceration, raising questions about his adherence too prison regulations and possibly impacting his release timeline.
The reason for the sentence extension remains unclear, but reports indicate Combs has faced accusations of violating prison rules. TMZ reported that the rapper was allegedly caught consuming homemade alcohol brewed with fanta, apples, and sugar. CBS News further reported this week that Combs allegedly made unauthorized phone calls with multiple contacts, a prohibited activity within the correctional facility.
A spokesperson for Combs maintains his innocence, asserting that the reported phone call was with his legal counsel and did not breach any regulations. “He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are a priority, and he is taking them very seriously,” the spokesperson told People. Combs is currently appealing his initial four-year conviction.
