Los Angeles police discovered human remains in the trunk of a 2023 Tesla registered to rising musician d4vd on Monday, September 9. Authorities were alerted to the vehicle, held at a California impound lot for several days, following reports of a strong, foul odor.
The finding raises questions surrounding the circumstances of the death and has prompted an examination by the Los Angeles Police Department.While the identity of the deceased remains unconfirmed, police indicate initial evidence suggests the individual is not David Anthony Burke, known professionally as d4vd. This incident occurs as the artist is actively touring in support of his recently released debut studio album, Withered, following earlier success with viral singles ”Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.”
According to ABC7 News, the body was found enclosed in a bag within the Tesla’s trunk. Law enforcement has not yet released the name of the deceased. Representatives for d4vd and the LAPD have been contacted by The FADER for further comment.
