Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack switch Release Cancelled Due to Content Restrictions
XSEED Games has cancelled the physical and digital Western release of the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack for the nintendo Switch, citing content that does not comply with current platform guidelines. The proclamation follows a previous delay and marks another instance of an upcoming Switch release being halted without detailed description.
XSEED detailed the cancellation in a post on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that contents within several games in the Tetralogy Pack where flagged as non-compliant.As an inevitable result, both the physical pack and digital releases of previously unreleased Corpse Party titles included within it have been scrapped.
“We know how much you were anticipating the release of corpse Party Tetralogy Pack. Though we previously released entries in the corpse Party series on console platforms and digital storefronts in the West, we were informed that the contents of several games in the tetralogy Pack did not comply with current platform guidelines. As a result, we are unable to release these games as intended and have subsequently canceled the physical release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack, as well as the digital offerings of previously unreleased Corpse Party games featured in the Tetralogy Pack,” the statement read.
XSEED has reaffirmed its commitment to releasing Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion in the West, in collaboration with MAGES, and promises further updates when available.
