Title: Comal County Storm Damage: Power Lines Down, Trees Fallen, Road Closed

Comal County Road Closure, Damage Reported After Overnight⁢ Storms

Canyon Lake, TX​ – FM 306 ⁤in Comal ‌County remains closed Saturday as utility crews ‌work to repair storm damage, according to⁢ the Texas Department of Transportation. Traffic signals at the intersection of FM 306 and U.S. Highway 281 are also currently non-operational, though the highway ‌itself remains open.

The storms, which brought heavy ⁣rain and lightning to the San Antonio area overnight, caused widespread damage in Comal County. Residents in the Indian Hills neighborhood near Canyon Lake reported a tornado ‍touched down, splitting a 200-year-old tree and causing ⁤damage to fences. multiple neighbors experienced a power outage during the storm, accompanied by ⁢strong winds.

“I think it came through right hear, and it hit this tree right here, because we have multiple branches that are⁢ down‍ even on the other side, and thereS three trees that are down on the‌ back against the fence, even our fence over here is down,” said residents Malory and Jarrett W.

Grandmother Sylvia H.⁣ described the frightening experience for her​ grandchildren. “My grandson is shaking me, because his sister is crying for mommy,” she said. “It was just loud, I just said ‘The angels are bowling, it’s just sound, we⁤ have to ask them⁤ not to play so loudly’.The little ones can’t ‍understand.”
