Chadwick Boseman will be honored with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20, the Hollywood Chamber of commerce announced. The star, recognizing the late actor’s significant contributions to film and entertainment, will be unveiled at 11:30am PT.
Boseman, who tragically passed away in 2020 at the age of 43 after a private battle with colon cancer, rose to international fame for his portrayal of T’Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Black Panther and the What if…? series-a performance that earned him a posthumous Primetime Emmy Award. He was previously announced as part of the 2024 class of Walk of Fame honorees.
Throughout his 27-year career, Boseman delivered powerful performances in a diverse range of roles, bringing to life historical figures like Jackie Robinson in 42 and Thurgood Marshall in marshall. His final film role was as levee Green in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, garnering him a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for best actor, as well as an Academy Award nomination.
