Broncos Add ‍Wide Receiver Elijah Moore to practice Squad

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The denver Broncos announced Monday they have signed wide receiver Elijah Moore to their practice⁢ squad. The move adds depth ‌to a position group currently featuring Courtland Sutton, Pat‍ Bryant, marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, and Lil’Jordan Humphrey on ⁣the active roster.

Moore,a fourth-year NFL‌ player, became available ⁢after being waived by the Buffalo Bills⁤ earlier this month⁤ to create space for veteran receiver‍ Brandin Cooks. He totaled nine receptions for‌ 112 yards in nine ⁣games⁤ with Buffalo this season. Denver ⁣will need to make a corresponding ‍roster move to accommodate Moore, ⁤with michael Bandy,‍ A.T.Perry, or Kyrese‍ Rowan possibly being released from the practice ⁣squad.‍ Rowan is considered the most ⁤likely candidate ‌for release.

Drafted by the New York Jets in⁣ the second ⁤round ⁣of the 2021 NFL draft ⁤out of Ole Miss,Moore has accumulated 200 receptions for 2,162 yards and nine touchdowns across his four seasons. He spent two years with the Jets before⁤ being traded to the⁤ Cleveland Browns, ⁤where he ⁢played ⁣for another two seasons.

Moore’s signing‍ provides⁤ the broncos with a potentially valuable asset who could be elevated to the 53-man roster later in ‍the season ⁤should he perform well in practice.
