Broadway Stars to Unite ⁤at New York Comic Con, Revealing the Nerdy Inspirations behind Thier Performances

New York, NY – Tony Award winner Jak Malone, alongside Lea DeLaria, Jasmine Amy Rogers, Emma Hunton, and Rob Lake, will represent​ broadway’s vibrant intersection with fandom culture at Playbill‘s panel during New⁣ York Comic Con in 2025.The panel, hosted by Bryan Campione, will explore how fantasy, comic books, and‌ science fiction influence the artists’ work and personal lives.

Playbill’s return to New York Comic Con underscores the growing recognition of the shared‍ audience between Broadway and the worlds of comics, gaming, and genre entertainment.This year’s ⁤panel builds on previous successes, tapping into the passions of performers who openly embrace their “nerd” identities. The event offers ⁣fans a unique glimpse into the creative processes of beloved stage​ actors and the surprising sources of their inspiration. ‍Tickets are currently available only for Thursday, October 9th.

The panel will ⁣feature Jak Malone, recipient of a Tony Award for Operation Mincemeat; Lea DeLaria, known for her roles in POTUS and Orange Is The‌ New Black; Jasmine Amy Rogers, who has appeared in BOOP! and 25th Annual Putnam County‍ Spelling Bee; emma Hunton, of Exorcistic ⁢ and Good Trouble; and Rob lake, currently starring in Rob Lake Magic with Special Guests the Muppets.
