Blibli lays off 270 Employees Amidst IDR 1.84 Trillion loss
Jakarta – PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (Blibli.com) announced today it laid off 270 employees in October 2025, citing a need for organizational adjustments to improve efficiency and foster enduring growth. The company, trading under the stock code BELI, reported a net loss of IDR 1.84 trillion as of September 30, 2025.
According to an IDX facts disclosure, the layoffs were completed within October 2025 and are permanent, with no plans for employee transfers or relocations. Blibli management stated,”In October 2025,the Company needs to make organizational adjustments to ensure the Company can move more effectively and efficiently with the aim of opening up opportunities for sustainable growth and creating long-term value for the Company and its shareholders.”
the company attributes its financial losses to salary expenses, alongside significant costs related to discounts, marketing, and other operational expenditures.
blibli assures affected employees will receive compensation packages meeting, and exceeding, Indonesian labor law requirements. “To all employees affected by organizational adjustments in October 2025,the Company has provided a compensation package that is appropriate or even more than what is regulated in the provisions of labor laws and regulations,” the company stated.
These layoffs are part of broader operational cost efficiency measures being implemented by Blibli. “The organizational adjustments implemented by the Company in October 2025 are one of the Company’s operational cost efficiency measures, apart from other cost efficiency measures that have been and will be implemented by the Company,” Blibli confirmed.
