BENEO Unveils New Ingredient Solutions for Enhanced Nutritional Profiles at Fi Europe
Frankfurt, Germany – BENEO is showcasing a range of innovative ingredient solutions designed to significantly improve the nutritional value of food and beverage products at Fi Europe this week.The company’s latest offerings focus on boosting protein and fiber content,reducing sugar levels,and optimizing the glycemic response in applications ranging from sandwiches to desserts and meal replacements.
These advancements come as consumer demand for healthier,more sustainable food options continues to surge. with increasing awareness of the link between diet and well-being, manufacturers are actively seeking ingredients that allow them to create products with improved nutritional profiles without compromising on taste or texture. Among the showcased innovations is a complete protein solution for sandwiches utilizing faba bean and rice proteins, paired with a high-fiber hummus featuring faba bean protein concentrate and Orafti® Inulin chicory root fiber. A plant-based cold cut, also incorporating faba bean protein concentrate, delivers juiciness, elasticity, and a protein boost.
BENEO is also presenting a sugar-reduced vanilla custard achieving a 30% sugar reduction through a combination of short-chain fructooligosaccharides (scFOS) and flavorings with modifying properties (FMP), resulting in a Nutri-Score improvement from C to B. a ready-to-drink chocolate meal replacer leverages faba bean protein concentrate, Orafti® Inulin chicory root fiber, and BENEO’s Palatinose™ to provide sustained energy and support satiety, alongside high protein and fiber claims and a reduced blood glucose response.
