Wolfsburg‘s Dárdai Sees Market Value Drop, as Hungarian Players Experience Bundesliga Re-Evaluation
WOLFSBURG, Germany – Bence Dárdai, the 19-year-old Hungarian midfielder for VfL Wolfsburg, has experienced a important decrease in his market value, falling from €12 million to €9 million according to recent updates from Transfermarkt. The valuation shift comes amid limited playing time for Dárdai this season, with appearances restricted to a single 20-minute stint in a German Cup match against Hemelingen.
The decline in Dárdai’s value – a 25% reduction – also shifts the ranking of Hungary’s most valuable footballers. He is now behind Galatasaray’s Roland Sallai, currently valued at €10 million, and no longer holds the position of third most valuable Hungarian player. This re-evaluation occurs as Bundesliga player values are updated, with Premier League valuations scheduled for release friday, where Dominik Szoboszlai’s value is potentially expected to rise.
Beyond Dárdai, other Hungarian players in the Bundesliga have also seen their market values adjusted. Willi Orbán of RB Leipzig experienced a decrease, while Péter Gulácsi’s value also fell in the latest Transfermarkt update.
Current Most Valuable Hungarian Football Players:
* Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) €80 million
* Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth) €45 million
* Sallai Roland (Galatasaray) €10 million
* Bence Dárdai (Wolfsburg) €9 million
* Willi Orbán (RB Leipzig) €8 million

Dárdai’s situation at Wolfsburg has been impacted by a managerial change. The coach who initially brought him to the team, Ralph Hasenhüttl, was dismissed in May and replaced by Paul Simonis, who has publicly stated that other players are currently ahead of Dárdai in the squad. Competition for playing time has also increased with the arrival of Christian Eriksen and the return from injury of lovro Majer.
