Korean Badminton Teams Unite in Miryang for Intensive Joint Training

Miryang, South Korea – The Korea Badminton Association (KBA) ‍has launched‌ a ‌week-long joint training camp in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, from February 24th ⁤to 30th, bringing together ⁢the‍ national team’s standing​ forces and its future national team players. The intensive program is designed ‍to bridge​ skill gaps and ⁢build ⁢a enduring ⁣pipeline of talent for international competition.

The training will centre on⁤ tactical and technical improvements, individualized skill upgrades, and practical⁣ sparring sessions. According ⁤to the KBA, the camp aims to “create​ meaningful results in the mid- to long-term⁤ development of Korean badminton,” including facilitating a smooth transition of players between the teams​ and identifying promising new talent.

This joint training builds on recent ‍international experiences for both⁢ squads. ⁤The future national team recently competed in the ​”2025 BAT ​YONEX ⁤Pathumthani Thailand Junior Badminton Championships,” ​gaining valuable practical experience. Simultaneously, ‌the ‌national standing team underwent international exchange training at⁤ the‌ National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes,​ UK, focusing on adapting to European playing styles and enhancing tactical responsiveness.

The ‍Miryang ⁣camp will utilize a high-intensity, combat-focused approach, incorporating tailored technical programs, individualized‌ physical conditioning, ⁣and immediate feedback mechanisms.The KBA anticipates the training will refine players’ technical skills and​ improve their focus during ⁤competition.

“Through this joint training, we plan to lay the foundation for a ​natural power generation change ⁢between the national team’s standing⁢ army and the future national team, discovering and nurturing promising players, strengthening international competitiveness,⁢ and expanding international competitiveness,” a KBA spokesperson stated.
