The Wawa 250 is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, August 22. Qualifying sessions will precede the main event, setting the stage for an exciting night of competition at the iconic 2.5-mile tri-oval track. Last yearS race saw Ryan Truex claim victory, but a new champion will be crowned in 2025.
Connor zilisch, driving the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, enters the race as a strong contender. He recently secured a win at Watkins Glen and has impressively claimed the checkered flag in five of the last eight Xfinity races.
Jesse Love, with a previous Daytona victory under his belt from February, is also a driver to watch. Veteran racers Justin Allgaier and Austin Hill add to the competitive field, both having previously tasted success at Daytona. Adding intrigue to the event is Natalie Decker, who has the opportunity to become the first mother to win a NASCAR race.
