Thrustmaster Announces T248R Racing Wheel
Thrustmaster has released the T248R, a new racing wheel positioned as the successor to the popular T248. The belt-driven wheel aims to provide an accessible entry point for sim racers who don’t require or can’t afford a direct-drive base.
The T248R utilizes Thrustmaster’s hybrid technology – a combination of gears and a belt – delivering a torque of 3 Nm. Priced at $349, the wheel is sold as a package including the magnetic 3-pedal set, and will be available for purchase starting September 17th.
Thrustmaster describes the T248R as an ergonomic wheel with an 11.0″ / 28 cm diameter rim, designed for pleasant handling and an immersive experience. It features 3.1 n⋅m of torque and 48 W of constant power, alongside 20 display screens and 4 LEDs providing real-time details during races.
