Thousands of TNC and TNVS Drivers Receive Cash Aid
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed P51 million in cash assistance to more than 10,000 Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) drivers.
The disbursement is part of a broader financial relief effort targeting transport workers, with over 45,000 Transport Network Company (TNC) drivers receiving aid through the DSWD.
Among the recipients, more than 4,000 TNVS drivers have received individual cash aid payments of P5,000.
Parallel to government efforts, private transport firms are managing their own distribution processes. The transport firm inDrive is currently nearing the completion of its payout for 11,000 drivers. Joyride has also been conducting cash assistance payouts for its driver network.
