Montenegro Responds to Alvarado’s Message on Daughter’s Birthday
Actor Expresses Gratitude, Regret Over Perceived Indirect Comment
Venezuelan actor Jonathan Montenegro has broken his silence following a social media post by actress Daniela Alvarado, concerning the 15th birthday of Montenegro’s daughter, Sophia. The event has been shadowed by a prolonged legal dispute between Montenegro and Sophia’s mother, Patricia Schwarzgruber.
Gratitude Tempered with Disappointment
In a reflective statement released Tuesday, Montenegro voiced his appreciation for Alvarado‘s gesture towards Sophia. However, he admitted to being disappointed by what he perceived as an indirect jab at him within the tribute.
“The post you dedicated to Sophia I thank you,” Montenegro stated. “It was a gesture that speaks of your nobility and what we once shared. I only regret that, in the midst of that tribute, an indirect to me has been slid. It could have been a cleaner, more conciliatory message.”
“We want to see you there. In a stage. Under lights. Receiving standing ovations, with the entire country by applauding you. Including me.”

Montenegro, known for his past roles in prominent Venezuelan dramas, also reminisced about the past friendship he shared with Alvarado. He emphasized the enduring memory of their bond, lamenting its fragility.
“I don’t write this to defend myself,” he explained. “I write to defend the friend who one day taught me that a simple gesture, like a napkin, could become a powerful bridge. A bridge that, sadly, broke too easily…”
A Nod to a Former Colleague
The actor took the opportunity to express his admiration for Alvarado‘s talent as a performer. He conveyed his hope to see her back on stage soon, receiving accolades from the public.
This public exchange occurs amidst the controversy surrounding Sophia’s birthday celebration, where Montenegro reportedly could not attend due to existing legal restrictions from his conflict with Schwarzgruber. In this context, Alvarado had shared supportive words for the teenager, highlighting the importance of love and support for young people caught in adult disputes. For instance, reports indicate that during the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrity legal disputes involving children sometimes led to increased court involvement, as seen in cases reported by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania which saw a rise in such cases.
A Fond Farewell
Montenegro concluded his message with a warm expression of affection for Alvarado, signing off with, “I love you very much, Dani. Take care.” The post has since garnered significant attention and varied reactions across social media platforms, with both support and criticism emerging from followers and industry peers.
