Liam Hemsworth to Debut as Geralt in ‘The Witcher‘ Season 4, First Teaser Released
LOS ANGELES, CA – Liam Hemsworth will officially take on the role of Geralt of Rivia in Season 4 of Netflix’s “The Witcher,” with the first teaser trailer released alongside the confirmation. The change comes after Henry Cavill, who previously starred as the titular Witcher, announced his departure from the series.
Cavill stated, “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4.” Season 4 will be the penultimate season of the show, with a fifth and final season planned, and both are being filmed back-to-back. The upcoming season will adapt material from the novels “Baptism of Fire,” “The Tower of the Swallow,” and “Lady of the Lake.”
The teaser showcases Hemsworth’s portrayal of Geralt battling a ghostly wraith, visually similar to Cavill’s interpretation. The logline for Season 4 reveals a fractured narrative: “After the Continent-altering events of Season 3, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies. As their paths diverge, and their goals sharpen, they stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good.”
Returning cast members include Aya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra), Joey Batey (Jaskier), Laurence Fishburne (regis), Eamon Farren (Chiris), Anna Shaffer (Triss Merigold), Mikari (Triss Merigold), M Khayisa (Fringilla), Cassie Clare (Philippa), Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz), Meng’er Zhang (Milva), Graham Mctavish (Dijkstrar), Rooyce Pierreson (Stredd), Mecia Simson, Sharlto Copley (Leo Bonhart), Danny Woodburn (Zoltan), jeremy Crawford (Yarpen), Bart Edwards (Emhyr), Hugh Skiner (Raddovid), James Purafofy (Skellen), Christelle Elwin (Mistle), Fabian mccallum (Kayleigh), juliette Alexandra (Reef), Ben Radcliffe (Gieselher), Connor Crawford (Asse), Aggy K.
