Singaporean content creators have a new opportunity to gain recognition and funding as Mediacorp‘s The Pinwheels awards return for a fourth year. Organized by Mediacorp’s Bloomr.SG network, the awards celebrate Singapore’s creator community and showcase local talent.
This year’s competition features ten categories: Best Collaboration Video, Best Drama (Scripted) Video, Best Lifestyle Video, Best Newcomer, Best Non-Fiction (Non-Scripted) Video, Most Artistic Video, Most Innovative Video, most Social Good Video, Content Of The year, and Content Creator Of The Year.
submissions are being accepted until September 26th for all categories except “Content Creator Of The Year.” The awards are open to Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents, encompassing both amateur and professional creators utilizing platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Vimeo, and YouTube. Eligible videos must have been created for the Singaporean market and uploaded between May 16, 2024, and May 15, 2025.
Prizes include a one-year contract with Bloomr.SG for the “Best Newcomer,” and production grants of S$5,000 for the “Content Of The Year” winner and S$10,000 (approximately US$7,790) for the “Content Creator Of The Year.”
Finalists will be announced in October, culminating in an awards ceremony on November 21st where the winners will be revealed.
