The Little Rascals star Bug Hall starts GoFundMe for his family
Bug Hall, who played Alfalfa in the 1994 film The Little Rascals, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to secure financial assistance for his family as his sixth child approaches birth. The 41-year-old actor, whose birth name is Brandon Rowan, stated on the fundraising page that he is facing a crunch for building materials and overdue bills including phone expenses, propane for his camper, and an electric hookup service fee.
Stepping Away from Hollywood and Embracing an Off-Grid Life
Hall left Hollywood in 2020 alongside his wife and five children. The family relocated through Texas, Michigan, and Ohio before settling on an 80-acre plot of land near Mountain View, Arkansas. According to reports earlier this year, the former child star took a vow of poverty, gave away the fortune earned from his acting career, and sold most of his belongings to construct an off-grid family home equipped with private electric and plumbing systems.
In April 2025, Hall uploaded a video to his public YouTube channel where he adopted the labels of a “radical Catholic extremist” and a “medieval moralist,” drawing praise from adherents of the “trad Cath” movement. Well here we are.”

Financial Realities Ahead of Baby Number Six
The campaign outlines immediate logistical and financial pressures as the arrival of their next child draws near. Hall wrote that his family is “overjoyed to be where we are” and “even enjoying roughing it,” but noted that practical hurdles remain.
He added that he hopes to finalize the property setup within two weeks so he can resume taking on work prior to the baby’s birth.
