Photographer katie brockman Crowned International Pet Photographer of the Year
September 10, 2025 – The captivating world of animal photography has a new champion.Katie Brockman has been named the 2025 International Pet Photographer of the Year, recognized for a stunning portfolio that showcases both technical skill and a clear affection for her subjects.
Brockman,who began her photographic journey a few years ago,frequently features her own dog,Cadwell,in her work. However, her dedication extends beyond her pet; she also dedicates her lens to capturing the unique personalities of foster animals. What sets her work apart is a commitment to authenticity – nearly all of her award-winning images are captured in-camera, eschewing heavy digital manipulation.
“The mischievous bunny [pictured] is part of a series I’ve been working on for the last couple of years, featuring animals with unique markings,” Brockman shared.this series, along with her striking portraits, clearly resonated with the judges.
