“We are going to list in the stock market in 2030”

What is the corporate goal at 2030?

The objectives are to develop mining and use the capacity of our companies to close infrastructure, health, transport, education gaps.

But in terms of billing …

We are in the process that the Constitution of Apucorp takes place, as well as the corporate governance of its companies. There are two consultants who are supporting us in the elaboration of our medium and long term strategic plan, which should be ready in October; Although in parallel, we are already participating in public projects and tenders.

In that case, how much do this 2025 project?

The growth goal is 10% for this year. It is ambitious, but we are committed to achieving it.

And how much investment will they allocate as Apucorp?

In the next three or four years, about US $ 1,000 million in investments for mining, infrastructure activities, among others.

Will the funds leave the shareholders or the group?

Today the corporation has no debts, the company’s growth has been thanks to mining flows. However, we now have the vision of growing by taking debt in the national or international financial system. In the strategic plan, we have set a goal to list in the stock market in 2030 to be able to raise financing.

What will be the fate of this financing?

The vision is to continue contributing to the development of the country, but not only means growing in Peru, but also growing internationally, we generate more work. In addition to their gold mining operations, how have the rest of the companies developed?

We have managed to internationalize the metalworking services of CEMPRO, which has just made its first export of tanks for mining companies that are northern Chile. In addition, it has built the metal structure of the new Jorge Chávez airport (a contract of almost US $ 20 million), and now we are doing the same in the Chinchero Airport (Cusco). We are also producing for Unicom.

With Ajani, which is dedicated to the movement of land and buildings, almost s/ 500 million has been invoiced by riverside defense works in Ica and Lambayeque. But we have also built schools and hospitals. We are seeing the public-private partnership projects of to participate.

In what type of project are you interested in participating?

For example, they have launched the Choquequirao cable car (in Cusco), a project of US $ 250 million, and we have metalworking capacity, civil engineering and drilling (with MDH). We are evaluating ourselves with an Austrian company (which manufactures the cabins), to see if we present ourselves to the tender. We also plan to participate in PTAR projects (wastewater treatment plants) in Cajamarca.

We also know that the Ministry of Transport and Communications will launch two bridges packages this semester, we will see the bases to participate, because we already have experience in that area, with the Nanay bridge in Iquitos.

Just as Apucorp shareholders entered the health sector, will they continue diversifying?

Shareholders have a clear vision of continuing to develop mining, but also continuing to close infrastructure gaps. We know what the state of the health centers is, then, the shareholders decided to promote the concept of university clinics (with the purchase of the Cayetano Heredia Clinic). They already have a plan: first, grow in Lima and then reach other areas.

We do not rule out that shareholders also enter the sector of the Agroindustryconsidering that there is a government plan to expand agricultural areas with Majes-Siguas II and Chavimochic III; We are seeing how to participate in these projects, we could look for a good partner that adds value to what we are going to do.

From your global turnover, how much does it come from the exports they do?

I would say less than 5%, but we are on its way to improving that percentage. We could also export mining camps. Today we have a vision of internationalizing.
