Cataño‘s Annual Fair Set to Showcase Over 200 Puerto Rican Artisans This Weekend
Cataño, Puerto Rico – The annual Feria de Cataño kicks off this weekend, promising a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican culture and craftsmanship with the participation of more than 200 local artisans. The event, a cornerstone of the town’s cultural calendar, will transform Cataño’s waterfront into a bustling marketplace and entertainment hub.
The Feria de Cataño is a significant economic driver for the municipality and a beloved tradition for families across the island.This year’s event prioritizes both cultural enrichment and visitor convenience,with expanded parking options and extended boat service between San Juan and Cataño. The fair aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, highlighting the best of Puerto Rican artistry and community spirit.
Organizers have designated several parking areas, including Parque Perucho Cepeda, the Cosme Beitía Coliseum, the area under the PR-5 highway bridge near perucho Cepeda, the Luis osvaldo Reyes Sports Coliseum, Cataño Market Square, and the edwin Rivera Sierra Public Parking Lot (Puntilla Parking Lot). A dedicated parking area, Matienzo Cintrón, will be reserved exclusively for individuals with disabilities.
To facilitate access for visitors from San Juan, the boat service will operate on a special schedule. On Saturday, the last boat will depart at 1:00 a.m., and on Sunday, service will conclude at 12:00 a.m., with ticket sales ending one hour prior on both days.
