Tennis today: Zverev vs. Arnaldi – TV, Streaming & Live Ticker

Alexander Zverev secured a victory against Adam Walton, advancing to the third round of the tournament. The German tennis star acknowledged that the win was more about the result than the performance, stating, “Sometimes it’s about winning the game and not how you play.” he further explained his current form by mentioning his recent four-week break and a much-needed time-out. Zverev is now preparing to face Matteo Arnaldi, ranked 32nd in the world.

This win follows a period of reflection for Zverev after an early exit at Wimbledon. In July, he took a break from competition, citing mental health challenges. During this time, he retreated to Mallorca to train at Rafael Nadal’s academy, receiving guidance from Nadal’s uncle, Toni Nadal. While a formal collaboration has not yet materialized, Zverev expressed his desire to continue working with Toni Nadal, saying, “I’m trying to convince him to spend more weeks with me.”

Zverev and Arnaldi have a limited head-to-head record, with their only previous encounter occurring at the 2025 Acapulco tournament. Zverev emerged victorious in that match, but it was a hard-fought three-set contest. The upcoming match against Arnaldi will be another test for Zverev as he continues his tournament campaign.
