Healthcare Chains Report Stronger-Than-Expected Q2 Results, Raising Annual Forecasts
For-profit healthcare chains collectively operating 240 hospitals announced on Friday that their second-quarter revenues adn profits surpassed expectations. This positive financial performance has lead these entities to issue more optimistic financial outlooks for the remainder of the year. The second quarter concluded on June 30.

Centene became the sixth insurer to revise its annual financial projections downward, following a similar move by Elevance last week. This indicates a divergence in financial performance between hospital operators and health insurers.
