Vilnius – A man has been detained in connection wiht the gruesome discovery of a young man’s remains in Vilnius, Lithuania, following a suspected homicide. the investigation began after reports of a fire in a waste container and a missing person appeal launched by the victim’s mother.
Authorities allege the suspect, whose identity has not been officially released, led investigators to the location of the remains and detailed the commission of the crime. Prior to learning of her son’s fate, the victim’s mother publicly appealed for facts on social media, stating he had last been seen on Saturday at approximately 2:00 PM leaving the Ozas shopping center in Vilnius after meeting with a friend. She reported he was expected to return home but never arrived, and attempts to contact him by phone were unsuccessful.
In a subsequent social media post on Sunday morning,the mother confirmed the search had ended,but with tragic news.
