Tecno Unveils Pova 7 Series with Dazzling Light Displays

New smartphones boast impressive specs and customizable notification features.

Tecno has broadened its Pova lineup with the introduction of the Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro, both featuring a smooth 144Hz display, powerful Dimensity 7300 chipset, and long-lasting 6,000mAh battery, aiming for a blend of style and performance.

Delta Light Interface

Both the Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro showcase an identical design, incorporating the unique Delta Light Interface. This feature consists of a triangular arrangement of 104 LED lights surrounding the camera area, providing customizable notifications.

Similar to features seen previously on Nothing phones, the Delta Light Interface can be personalized to respond to incoming calls, music playback, charging status, and gaming activities.

Display and Design

The Pova 7 sports a 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, achieving a peak brightness of 900 nits. In contrast, the Pova 7 Pro boasts a higher-end 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1220p+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, reaching a peak local brightness of 4,500 nits. The Pro model includes an optical fingerprint scanner and 2,340Hz PWM dimming technology.

Each phone is equipped with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera and protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Internal Specifications and Software

Tecno has equipped both Pova 7 models with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. These phones leverage the Android 15 operating system through Tecno’s HiOS 15, integrating DeepSeek and the Ella AI assistant. According to Statista, Android holds approximately 70% of the mobile operating system market share as of 2024 Statista 2024.

Camera Details

For photography, the Pova 7 Pro features a 64-megapixel main camera (IMX682 sensor) along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The standard Pova 7 includes a 50-megapixel main camera accompanied by an unspecified auxiliary lens.

Battery and Charging

Both phones house a 6,000mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging. The Pro version goes a step further by also offering 30W wireless charging capabilities.

Pricing and Availability

The Tecno Pova 7 is available in Geek Black, Magic Silver, and Oasis Green. The 8GB/128GB variant starts at INR 14,999 (approximately $175), while the 8GB/256GB version is priced at INR 15,999 (around $187).

The Tecno Pova 7 Pro comes in Geek Black, Dynamic Grey, and Neon Cyan. The 8GB/128GB configuration starts at INR 18,999 (roughly $222), and the 8GB/256GB option is available for INR 19,999 (about $234).

The Tecno Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro are scheduled for release on July 10 via Flipkart.
