Team Killing Gadgets: What Are They?

February 24, 2026 Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor Health

A player in ARC Raiders reported being team-killed with a flame grenade on February 24, 2026, prompting a discussion about potentially harmful gadgets within the game. The incident, detailed in an online forum post, involved a player allegedly eliminating a teammate with a flame grenade shortly after the match began, then abandoning the surviving player.

While flame grenades are known for their potential to inflict damage on allies, players are questioning whether other gadgets contribute to team-killing scenarios. The original post specifically asked about gadgets beyond the flame grenade that could be used maliciously.

Recent updates to ARC Raiders have altered the effectiveness of certain gadgets. A patch released prior to February 2026 adjusted the behavior of the “Trigger” grenade, reducing its damage at longer ranges and requiring more precise timing for effective use. This change has led players to explore alternative options, including the “Weight Concussion” grenade and the “Flame Grenade.”

According to a recent analysis of gadget performance, the “Weight Concussion” grenade, while not as immediately devastating as the “Trigger” grenade once was, can still be used to disrupt enemy formations. However, its primary function is considered to be more of a deterrent than a lethal weapon. The flame grenade, conversely, remains a potent offensive tool, capable of denying areas and inflicting significant damage.

The game’s mechanics likewise allow for unconventional uses of the flame grenade. Players have discovered that if a flame grenade initially impacts a movable object, the resulting fire can be manipulated by moving the object, effectively carrying the flames. This tactic can be employed to hinder opponents by igniting objects like dropped player figures or loot containers, making them demanding to retrieve.

As of February 24, 2026, Nexon, the distributor of ARC Raiders, has not issued a public statement regarding the reported team-killing incident or potential adjustments to gadget functionality. The game’s developers, Embark Studios, have not commented on the issue.
