Lithuanian Brewer Tauras Earns International Recognition with Bronze Medals
Vilnius, Lithuania – Tauras Extra and Tauras Extra non-alcoholic beers have been awarded bronze medals at a prestigious International Beer Competition, demonstrating the continued high quality of Lithuanian brewing, according to Kalnapilio-Tauro Group. The achievement places “Tauras Extra non-alcoholic” among the top 18 products in its category, surpassing numerous international competitors where 2 gold, 3 silver, and 13 bronze medals were awarded overall.
The awards affirm Lithuania’s standing in the competitive global beer market and highlight the enduring appeal of conventional Lithuanian brewing techniques. “Tauro’s rating once again shows that our traditional beer is not onyl valued in Lithuania – we are a country of beer, wich is well aware of how to boil a real, recognized beer,” the company stated.
This summer, Kalnapilio-Tauro Group also unveiled a modernized brand image for Tauras, including a new tin design for “Tauras Extra non-alcoholic.” The updated packaging features a stylized portrayal of the Taurus symbol, intended to convey strength and the brand’s deep brewing heritage.
“We aimed to strengthen the emotional recognition of the brand – the proud Taur has become the main axis of the design and reminds us of the deeper roots of this brand,” said MV Kerskas, CEO of Kalnapilio-Tauro group. “It is an extraordinary element of identity that allows you to communicate clearly Tauro values.”
The new design incorporates historical elements, including original brewery features in medal imagery and stylized signatures referencing the brand’s origins, while embracing a creative concept of “liberating the cup” – elevating the can itself into a prominent visual element.
