Australia’s appetite for Tame Impala has prompted the addition of two novel shows to the psychedelic pop band’s national tour this October, following strong demand during presales.
The two-time Grammy Award-winning project, led by Kevin Parker, will now play nine shows across Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Parker’s hometown of Perth, supporting their fifth studio album, Deadbeat. New dates have been added at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on October 16 and Perth’s RAC Arena on October 25.
Frontier Touring, the tour’s producer, stated that the additional shows were added due to “overwhelming demand.”
The tour marks Tame Impala’s first Australian run since 2022, when they supported the release of The Slow Rush with arena shows delayed by the pandemic. Prior to that, Parker performed DJ sets in Australian arenas in late 2025 while opening for French electronic duo Justice.
Deadbeat debuted at No. 2 on the Australian ARIA Chart last October, continuing a streak of success for the band. All five of Tame Impala’s studio albums have reached the national top 5, beginning with 2010’s Innerspeaker and 2012’s Lonerism, both of which peaked at No. 4. Currents (2015) and The Slow Rush (2020) both reached No. 1.
Tame Impala has received 13 ARIA Awards, one BRIT Award, and two Grammy Awards. Parker is also nominated for Song of the Year at the 2026 APRA Music Awards for “End of Summer.”
Parker has assembled a six-piece touring band for the Deadbeat tour, which began with 12 sold-out shows in North America last October and November. The band will then tour Europe and the United Kingdom this April, followed by a return to the United States and Canada in June, with support from Djo and Dominic Fike.
Australian electronic artist Ninajirachi will join Tame Impala as a special guest on all Australian dates.
Tickets for all Australian shows go on sale Friday, February 27, at frontiertouring.com/tameimpala.
