New Judiciary Takes Office in Tamaulipas, Promising Justice for ⁣All

Ciudad ‌victoria, Tamaulipas – A⁣ new era ​for the judicial system in Tamaulipas dawned today with the swearing-in of newly appointed⁤ members​ of⁢ the Judicial Power of Tamaulipas.The ‌solemn ceremony, held at the⁤ Local Congress and attended by⁢ Governor Américo⁣ Villarreal Anaya,⁤ marks the ‌culmination of a landmark ‍judicial reform ‌aimed at‌ increasing ‍access to justice for all citizens.

The ​Polyforum RTC​ was‍ filled with thousands of attendees – family, friends,​ civil society representatives, business‌ leaders, and‍ even a‌ delegation of U.S.congressmen ⁤and diplomats ‌- witnessing the historic event.

During the session, Humberto Prieto Herrera, President ‍of‍ the Local Congress,⁣ affirmed the legislature’s commitment to supporting the ongoing⁤ judicial reform. This support will manifest⁢ through the ‍establishment of clear regulations, ⁤responsible budgeting, and robust accountability measures designed to strengthen⁤ the judiciary ‌while respecting its independence. ⁤He credited Governor Villarreal Anaya‘s leadership in initiating the reform and praised the ‌collaborative efforts of all ⁢three branches of state​ government and the evaluation committees that ensured ​a clear and equitable selection process.

Tania⁢ gisela Contreras López, the newly elected ‍President of the Supreme Court of Justice of the State, ‍delivered a powerful address, ​framing the occasion not merely ‌as a change⁢ in ‍administration, but as a fundamental restructuring of ⁤the judicial ​power⁣ – one firmly rooted in the ‍will of the people.

“For decades, access⁤ to justice was reserved for those who could pay or influence⁤ it,” Contreras⁤ López ⁣stated. “Today we⁤ are here as the people decided to recover that right. We do not come to occupy a position, we come‍ to ⁣lead a cause: return to justice its value, its transformative force⁣ and its place as a pillar of human dignity.” She‌ pledged​ to build⁤ a new justice model, laying “a firm stone on the bridge that leads Tamaulipas ⁢to the future it deserves.”

Governor Villarreal ⁢echoed this sentiment,​ celebrating the event as the ‍realization of Article 39​ of the constitution,​ which‌ recognizes the people⁢ as the ultimate source of public‌ power. He highlighted Tamaulipas’ pioneering role in holding concurrent elections to renew its entire state judiciary.

“We​ obey the sovereign will of the people,a people who,based on their laws,modified‍ a power in their claim of justice,” the Governor said. He lauded the⁣ responsible collaboration between the state’s ‍three ​branches of government, calling the moment “an unpublished image of a renewed court, a legitimate legislature and ​an executive ​power respectful of popular sovereignty.”

The Governor concluded‍ by emphasizing the public’s demand ‌for a state governed by ⁢the rule of law,stating,”The Tamaulipeca society⁣ demands firm steps‌ and forward… For ‌that​ they were already chosen.”
