SHANGHAI/BEIJING -‍ Takeda Pharmaceutical is actively recruiting a Marketing Director to lead brand adn franchise strategies for⁢ its China operations, with⁢ positions⁣ open in⁢ both Shanghai and Beijing. The role focuses on driving short- ​and long-term growth,managing budgets,and‍ launching new products within the region.

The Director will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategies aligned with Takeda’s global objectives,⁢ overseeing category A&P ⁤budgets, and coordinating initiatives through cross-functional teams.A key aspect of the position involves ‍integrating China into global brand management plans ‌and⁤ ensuring high-quality execution by local marketing and sales teams. Performance ‌monitoring and corrective action‍ planning are also critical components.

The role carries P&L responsibility aligned with ‍MRP targets and includes ‌leadership of a marketing team of 8+‌ direct‍ reports, with a ‍focus on ‌talent growth, onboarding, and training. A meaningful portion of the role will be dedicated to leading new product launches, adhering to Takeda’s established guidelines⁣ and standards.‍ Budget management, market research⁤ oversight, and compliance with relevant regulations ⁢are also key‌ responsibilities.

Candidates must possess ‌a ‌Bachelor’s degree‍ (a postgraduate degree in business management or marketing is preferred) and at ⁢least 15 years of marketing experience,including a minimum of 5 years‌ as a brand owner (market manager or above) within⁤ the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in sales management, new product launches, ‍mega-brand management, or rare disease marketing is considered a plus,‌ as‍ is knowledge of ⁢neuroscience.Essential skills include team ​leadership, strategic thinking, a “can-do” attitude, strong dialog and presentation skills, and ‍fluency in English.⁢ Proficiency ⁤in standard office software is also required. The⁣ position is a⁤ full-time, ‌regular employee role.
