Sources close to Forza italia described the discussion as a confirmation of their “close collaboration.”
During the two-hour discussion,Tajani,Marina,and Pier Silvio Berlusconi emphasized their enduring connection to Forza Italia and their commitment to its future. While they expressed their dedication to the party, their direct involvement in active politics was not specified.
Both marina,president of the Mondadori Group,and Pier Silvio,CEO of Mediaset,reportedly conveyed their support for Tajani. They share his vision for Forza Italia to remain steadfast in its liberal and moderate values,which represent Silvio Berlusconi’s political and ideological legacy. According to sources close to the family, there is complete agreement between Marina and Pier Silvio on the strategic direction for Forza Italia’s future. This direction involves a dual focus on program development and the recruitment of new talent, emphasizing an inclusive approach rather than replacing the current leadership.
Prior to the Milan meeting,Tajani,who also serves as Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs,described the upcoming discussion with Marina Berlusconi as a meeting between friends. He indicated that while Forza Italia would be a topic of conversation, there was no specific agenda. Tajani stated he values advice from friends.
An earlier meeting between the Berlusconi siblings and Tajani was scheduled approximately two weeks prior at Marina Berlusconi’s Milan residence but was postponed due to Tajani’s mission to Washington and time constraints.
