Chicago Youth Achieve Impact Expands Roboticsโข adn Coding Programs to More Schools
CHICAGO, IL – A Chicago-based nonprofit, Chicago Youth Achieving โImpact (CYAI), is broadening its reach, bringing robotics and computer programming education to โคmore students โขacross the city. The institution recently launched a pilot program on the Southwestโข Side in September and is now collaborating โwith the โขLatin School of Chicago and several suburban schools to extend its offerings.
CYAI’s initiative addressesโ a critical need for accessible STEM education, particularly in underserved communities. By empowering teen leaders to deliver engaging programs,โค the organization aimsโ to reshape after-school learning experiences within the Chicagoโฃ Public Schools (CPS) system. The โexpansion will allow โCYAI to recruit additional youth leaders and increase its impact on local students, providing them with valuable skills for future academic and career opportunities.
Founded with โฃa missionโ to create relatable and impactful learningโค experiences, CYAI’s โprograms are designed to spark interest in STEM fields.”Our goalโข has always been to make the โฃprograms relatable but impactful,” explained CYAI co-founder nick Derbis.
CYAI co-founder Maclane โZich expressed โคexcitement about the organization’s growth, stating, “We couldn’t beโ moreโค excited โคfor โthis next stage of โฃCYAI growth. From here, โour goal is to โrecruit more youth leaders across Chicago and further our impact with โฃlocal students.”
The organization โฃisโ activelyโ seeking to expandโ its network of teenโ leaders and welcomes inquiries from interested studentsโข and schools.
