Infidelity Drama Delays Flight from Da Nang to Hong Kong: HereS the Complete Story
Da Nang, Vietnam – A Hong Kong Express flight from Da Nang International Airport to Hong Kong experienced a delay Sunday evening after a dispute between a couple escalated from the departure lounge onto the aircraft. Flight UO559,scheduled to depart at 19:25 local time on November 2nd,was ultimately delayed by one hour and 25 minutes.
The incident began in the airport’s departure waiting area when the man accused his girlfriend of infidelity and physically assaulting him. He alleged she struck him “40 times” on October 1st, claiming to possess evidence of the assault from Gleneagles Hospital. Witnesses reported hearing him shout, ”The whole of Hong Kong knows about your terrible deeds.”
The woman appeared distressed, repeatedly leaning towards her partner while verbally confronting him. The man initially remained silent, but eventually responded with accusations of both infidelity and mental health concerns.
After passengers began boarding, the couple continued their argument inside the cabin, despite being seated separately. The woman demanded a flight attendant reassign seating to allow her to sit next to her boyfriend. When the crew explained this was not possible, she allegedly pushed a flight attendant, causing them to fall to the floor. Three other crew members intervened to de-escalate the situation.
The woman then claimed she had been intimidated by the airline staff, while her partner reiterated concerns about her mental health.
Ultimately, cabin crew escorted both passengers off the plane. Flight UO559 finally departed at 20:50 local time, arriving in Hong Kong at 22:50 local time.
HK express has apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers and affirmed that its staff are trained to handle challenging situations professionally, prioritizing the safety of both passengers and crew.
