Sanctiโ Spรญritus, Cuba – Over 40,000 โฃresidents ofโ teh provinceโค of โคSancti Spรญritus have recently received booster doses of the domestically produced Abdala adn Soberana 2 โขvaccines, as part of Cuba’s ongoing national effort to maintain protectionโข against evolving COVID-19 variants. The ministry of Public โHealth (Minsap)โฃ initiated the booster program to reinforce the immune โฃresponse โwithin theโ population.
Niubys โFundora Martรญn, head of the Provincial โขImmunization Program, reported that the rollout โis beingโค conducted strategicallyโ across 23 โขvaccination centers throughout the province. Priorityโข is being given to those most vulnerableโ to severe illness, including seniors, โคhealthcare workers, individuals residing in long-termโ care facilities, andโข patientsโข in psychiatric institutions.

Special attention is also being paid to the healthโข of mothers and children. โฃ More than 1,500 pregnant women have been vaccinated to date in 2025, with careful medical oversight and follow-up care reflecting Cuba’s dedication โคto maternal and child health. Furthermore, โnearly 2,700 children turning two years oldโฃ have received โtheir โขprimary three-dose vaccination series, achieving over 98% coverageโ across the province’s vaccination sites.
