Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Update Adds Online Arcade Within Weeks
Digital Eclipse has announced an update for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection adding the highly anticipated Online Arcade mode. The feature, detailed in an official FAQ,will allow players to create private or public lobbies hosting up to 16 players, and play multiple games simultaneously.
Within these lobbies, players can select which games are available and participate in a classic arcade “winner stays” queue or simply spectate.Digital Eclipse notes this feature is “much more robust” than Quick Match and more aspiring than previous projects, requiring extensive internal and external testing. The update is expected “within a few weeks after launch,” pending platform approval.
regarding crossplay, the team is currently “not committing to adding cross-play” but will re-evaluate feasibility once same-system matches are stable.Ranked matches are also under consideration.
