Trump Prioritized Family Buisness with Pakistan Over US-India Relationship, Claims Former National โคSecurity Advisor
Washington D.C. – Former US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has โasserted that Donald Trumpโ has jeopardized the strategically vital relationship withโ India due โคto business dealings involving his family adn Pakistan. Sullivan argues this shift in policy poses a meaningful long-term risk to American interests and global alliances.
Speaking โrecently, sullivan stated, “Because of Pakistan’sโ willingness to โdo business deals โwith โคthe Trump family, he has thrown the India relationship over the side. Thatโข is a huge strategicโ harm in its own rightโข because a โฃstrong US-India relationship serves our interests.”
Sullivan โคemphasized the broader implications โofโ this perceived prioritization, warning that other nations will question the reliability of the United States. “Every other country in the world, Germany, japan or Canada, willโค look at the situation โขand โคsay ‘that could be us tomorrow’. and โthat only reinforces your โview that you’ve got to hedge against theโข United States,”โค he added. He believes this erosion ofโฃ trust is detrimental to long-term American security.”Having America’s โฃfriends and other countries around the world decide that theyโข cannot relyโ on the US in โฃany way, โshape, or form is not in the interest of the American โคpeople in the long term. Our word should โคbe our bondโฆand what’s happening with india right now has huge direct impacts.”
The concerns stem from a โseries of โrecent developments involving the Trump family and Pakistan. In April, World Liberty (WFL), โa decentralized finance platform reportedly backed by Trump – withโ Trumpโ and his affiliates holding aโ 60% โขstake launched in 2024 – signed agreements with the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC) toโ promote investment in the cryptocurrency โฃindustry. A US delegation at the signing included Zachary Witkoff, son โขof WLF co-chairman and Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Further solidifying the connection, the Pakistani army reported in june that Field Marshal Asim Munir and Donald Trumpโ discussed trade, economicโ development,โ and cryptocurrency โขduring a meeting at the White House. according to the army’sโค statement,”President Trump expressedโ keen interest in forging a mutually beneficial trade partnership with Pakistan based onโ long-term strategic convergence andโ shared interests.”
In July, Trump announced โคa trade โฃdeal with Pakistan, simultaneously threatening a 25% tariff on Indian goods. He stated โฃthat the US would assist Pakistan in developing its โข”massive oil reserves” on his Truth Social platform. Pakistani โขPrime Minister Shehbazโข sharif responded by thanking โคTrump for the “historic” agreementโค and expressing optimism for expanded cooperation.
