Denver, โฃCO โ- โค A โฃColorado man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on Tuesday for โคexploiting six minors thru online means, tehโ department of Justice announced. Kevin Michael Moore, 34, of Aurora, pleaded guilty in August โ2023 to one countโค of production โof โchild sexual abuse material.
The โcase highlights the growing threatโข of online sexual exploitation of children and the Justice Department’s commitment to pursuing perpetrators. According to court documents, Moore engaged in online activity resulting in the creation โof images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of six victims โunder the โฃage of 16. โThe investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Denver Field office, with assistanceโฃ from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
U.S. โDistrictโข judge โRaymond P. Moore imposed the sentence, also orderingโข Moore to forfeit assets and undergo lifetime supervision upon release. “Theโ sexual abuse of children is a horrific crime that causes lasting trauma,”โข said U.S. โคAttorney Cole finegan for โthe District of Colorado.”we will continue to relentlessly pursue those who prey on vulnerable children and hold themโข accountable for theirโฃ actions.”
The sentencing follows anโ investigation thatโ began in February 2022 after a tip โfrom the โNational center for Missing and Exploited children (NCMEC). โฃFBI agents executed a searchโ warrant at Moore’s residence, seizing electronicโฃ devices containing โevidence ofโ the abuse.
