Breaking News: The Marientor Bridge in Kaßlerfeld is partially closed today, November 21st, due to a flood drill. The bridge is closed to traffic in the direction of Schifferstrasse from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a detour signposted for cars. Pedestrians can still cross.

* “Duisburg Christmas Lights” Fundraiser: A Christmas fundraising campaign for people in need begins November 17th and runs through january 11th. The Duisburg lions Clubs, Steinhof, and Sparkasse are collecting funds for local aid organizations at cultural events and charity campaigns. Individuals can apply for support directly via an online form until the end of December.
* Blood Donation Drive: Duisburg residents can donate blood today,November 21st,from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carstanjenstraße 10, organized by the Commercial Vocational College Mitte, the Friedrich-Albert-Lange Vocational College, and the German Red Cross. The DRK urgently needs donors due to the limited shelf life of donated blood.
* Barrier-Free Tram Stop: The DVG has made the “Stockumer Straße” tram stop barrier-free for passengers on line 901, improving accessibility, especially for those with limited mobility.Bus stops at the same location have also been made barrier-free.
