The first 100 Chechen-made “Jihad-mobiles” go to the front in Ukraine. Today, at an official ceremony, the cars were presented by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. They are intended for the needs of the “special military campaign”, as Russia calls the war it is fighting against Ukraine, reports TASS. The equipment will be distributed by the movements “People’s Front for Russia”.
What are “jihad-mobiles”?
In the video, which is also distributed by TASS, you can see… tachanka. They plagiarized the idea from the home invasion vehicles we know from terrorist attacks and civil wars in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, where militant groups put machine guns on jeeps.
“When developing them, we took into account both the technical requirements and the wishes of the frontline fighters, and in a short time we managed to establish mass production of the jihad car. I am satisfied with my recommendations, which were included at various levels,” noted the leader of Chechnya.
The state agency TASS, however, explains very much that the “jihad-mobile” or more precisely the truck was designed based on the chassis of GAZ “Sobol” and GAZ “Sadko”. Serial production began this year in Chechnya. Development of project documentation for military equipment was carried out by Moscow State Technical University “NE Bauman”. And the car was tested at the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes.
