Georgia Tech Prepares for Rivalry Clash with Georgia Amidst Fundraising Momentum
ATLANTA – As Georgia Tech football gears up for it’s final regular season game against the University of Georgia on November 29, 2025, the program is simultaneously advancing a $500 million fundraising initiative, ”Full Steam Ahead,” aimed at facility upgrades and program support. The Yellow Jackets (7-4) will face the bulldogs (11-1) at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field, seeking to upset a heavily favored Georgia team and bolster thier bowl prospects.
The “Full Steam Ahead” campaign focuses on renovating Bobby Dodd Stadium, the Zelnak basketball Center, and O’Keefe Gymnasium, alongside providing operational support for all Georgia Tech athletic programs. The initiative comes at a pivotal moment in college athletics, as programs navigate the evolving landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) and the transfer portal, requiring meaningful investment to remain competitive.
Beyond the on-field rivalry, recent team and individual accolades have highlighted the Yellow Jackets’ progress. Defensive tackle Jordan van den Berg, an All-ACC selection, has garnered attention not only for his performance but also for his entrepreneurial spirit, operating a laundromat alongside his athletic commitments.
