The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition arrived on Xbox Game Pass today, February 19, 2026, alongside a wave of latest titles including the highly anticipated Kingdom Come Deliverance II, set to launch on March 3rd. Microsoft’s ongoing strategy of rotating games in and out of its subscription service as well saw several titles removed from the Game Pass library today, including Monster Train and Injustice 2.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II will immerse players in a medieval Bohemia grappling with internal strife, continuing the story of Henry of Skalitz. The sequel promises historically accurate depictions, complex combat mechanics, and a narrative centered on themes of redemption and revenge, according to announcements from Xbox Wire. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The addition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition allows subscribers to experience Geralt of Rivia’s quest to find Ciri, his adopted daughter, within a dark fantasy world. This version includes all previously released expansions and next-generation graphical enhancements. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Rounding out the March 3rd additions are Final Fantasy III, Towerborne, Death Howl, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, offering a diverse range of gaming experiences. Towerborne features cooperative and offline gameplay, although Death Howl blends deck-building with a narrative focus. TCG Card Shop Simulator caters to fans of simulation games. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The Game Pass rotation also saw the departure of several titles on February 28th, including Expeditions: A MudRunner Game and Middle-earth: Shadow of War. This ongoing cycle of additions and removals is a core component of the Game Pass model, designed to maintain a dynamic and evolving library. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Microsoft’s frequent catalog updates position Game Pass as a competitive force in the gaming industry. The inclusion of major franchises like Kingdom Come, The Witcher, and Final Fantasy underscores the service’s appeal. [1, 2, 3, 4]

NVIDIA Shield TV: Still King After 11 Years & a New Model is Coming

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor February 13, 2026
written by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

NVIDIA has confirmed It’s developing a new iteration of its Shield TV streaming device, ending a long period of hardware stability for the popular Android TV box. The announcement, made to Ars Technica, signals a potential update to a product line that has remained largely unchanged since the 2019 model.

The current Shield TV, originally released in 2015, has garnered a devoted following for its sustained software support and performance, a rarity in the often-disposable streaming device market. While many manufacturers abandon devices within two to three years, NVIDIA has consistently provided updates, with the 2019 model receiving a hardware revision featuring the Tegra X1+ processor. The company has publicly committed to “lifetime” support for the Shield, a claim substantiated by the fact that original models have been upgraded from Android 5.0 to Android 11 and continue to receive security patches, according to multiple reports.

The impetus for a new Shield TV stems from evolving video standards. NVIDIA’s Andrew Bell, Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, indicated the new hardware will address support for modern codecs like AV1, as well as HDR10+ and updated versions of Dolby Vision. The current Shield TV does not fully support these newer standards, a growing limitation as AV1 gains traction for efficient high-quality streaming and HDR10+ competes with Dolby Vision in the high dynamic range space. Dolby Vision 2, the latest iteration of Dolby’s HDR technology, is also currently unsupported.

Despite the age of the current hardware, NVIDIA reports continued strong demand for the 2019 Shield TV. The company continues to manufacture and sell the existing model, even without significant price reductions or promotional efforts, citing a consistent stream of new buyers. NVIDIA attributes this sustained interest to the device’s appeal among audiophiles and videophiles who prioritize connecting advanced audio-visual systems to their streaming devices.

The 2019 NVIDIA Shield TV, retailing for $149.99 at launch, is lauded for its powerful performance, driven by the Tegra X1+ processor, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. Reviews consistently highlight its ability to handle 4K HDR content and its support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The device also offers real-time 4K upscaling and the ability to stream AAA PC games. While praised for its capabilities, some reviewers noted the AI upscaling feature can be overly aggressive.

The original Shield TV launched in 2015 with a 2017 Pro model following, and the 2019 “tube” design represented a significant shift in form factor, moving away from the angular design of previous models to a cylindrical shape. The 2019 model was designed as a more streamlined, affordable option, targeting mainstream consumers seeking a high-performance streaming box.
